Beware of Consultants

You probably heard the joke - a consultant will use your watch to tell you the time - then bill you an obscene amount for the service.

You might even have some bad memories about one or more of that type of consultant.

During his two decades of corporate management George Torok hired and worked with many consultants - some he liked and respected - and there were the others.

As much as most of those consultants helped the business - the sting of the others remains.

It is for that reason that George Torok only accepts a limited number of consulting assignments each year.

It is the same reason that working with George Torok as your executive consultant might be different for you.

Who will George Torok work with?

As an executive consultant George Torok will work directly with the CEO.
In a very large corporation George Torok will work with the SBU decision maker.

What do you need and want?

Do you need and want an executive advisor?
Do you need and want perspective?
Do you need and want bold and direct questions?
Do you need and want help to guide a critical project?

If you need and want these things then George Torok might be able to help you. We need to clarify your issues and expectations.

It is important that we only discuss what you both need and want.

If you need it - but don't want it - then don't call. We can't help you. There are too many needy people out there - some of them are still in business. When we want to support the needy - we give to our favorite charity.

How will George Torok work with you?

He can help you:
Ask disturbing questions
Consider simpler solutions
Go back to fundamentals
Learn from others - their success and mistakes
Simplify complex matters
Shake up the status quo
Push and pull to get things moving in the right direction

Will George Torok send you a proposal?

No. Well, maybe, depending on the project - a one pager at most.
It is more important that we talk and have a clear understanding of the expectations and challenges.

What does George Torok charge per hour?

He doesn't. You will not be billed for time. Instead we will agree on a project value. That way we don't need to fret about time. But don't waste time. We do what needs to be done - regardless of how long it takes. You get what you expect - and no surprises regarding price.

Your next step

If you have an interesting project and you think George Torok might help you - then call him at 905-335-1997 or email at info@torok.com

If you reach voice mail when you call - please leave a clear message explaining who you are and why you are calling. If you leave only your name and number - he won't call you. Don't waste time - it is a non-renewable resource.
